Owner/Coach Joan DeVeau

Owner/Coach/Teacher - Joan Darcy-DeVeau Lods heads our staff and is the mother to daughter Taryn, who used to be a competitive team member at DeVeau’s and is now a cheerleader at Kentucky. Joan has been teaching gymnastics since 1977. She attributes much of her success to the wonderful team of professional teachers she has worked with over the years. All staff members are carefully chosen on their ability to teach children in a safe, structured and fun atmosphere. Joan was born in Philadelphia, PA, and earned her B.S. degree in physical education/health in 1977. She is USAG Safety Certified; KAT (Kinder Accreditation for Teachers) certified; an IHSAA judge; Vice President of Coaches Association for Indiana Gymnastics; Member of United States Elite Coaches Association; 1989 Indiana Women’s Coach of the Year; Coach of USAIGC National Team Member; Coach of Indiana’s first elite gymnast; Coach of numerous National, Regional, and State qualifiers and champions; and, Coach of numerous State Champion teams at all levels.

Your children will love a Birthday Party at DeVeaus!!

DeVeau’s offers a unique Birthday experience for your child and guests. You will have up to 55 minutes of organized, age-appropriate games and gymnastics activities supervised by one of DeVeau’s Safety Certified instructors, as well as use of our party room for your cake and presents. Time spent on the gym floor will include the use of Louie the Shark, our famous inflatable climbing wall and slide.

The parties are available on Saturdays, at 2:30, 4:30 or 6:30, and Sundays at 1:00, and are designed for children between the ages of 4 and 13. Each birthday child may invite 11 of their friends (12 children total).

DEPOSIT: $50 NON REFUNDABLE deposit is required to reserve a date and time!

Option 2: Preschool Birthdays for kids age 3 to 5 - $110

DeVeau’s is now expanding our birthday party times to accommodate our younger preschool students. We are now offering birthday parties for kids ages 3 to 5 on Saturdays starting at 2:30, 4:30 or 6:30 p.m and Sundays at 1:00. We will offer up to 55 minutes or organized, age appropriate games and gymnastic activities, which will be supervised by one of our staff members, as well as use of our party room for cake and presents until 4:00 p.m. You may bring up to 8 kids (Including the birthday child)

DeVeau’s provides all of the following:

• 55 minutes of fun and exciting gymnastic activities
• Refrigerator space and ice machine for refreshments
• Birthday Party room
• Free class passes for all guests
• Groups of 8 children (Including the birthday child)

Parking Reminder

We know that this is an inconvenience for some of you but it is becoming a MAJOR safety issue for ALL children…..URGENT Parking Reminder!!!….

We are asking AGAIN for your help parking in the drive through circle outside the front doors. Parking here to drop children off and waiting here to pick them up after class causes cars not to be able to flow through the parking lot. This violation is putting every child at risk. Please park your vehicle in a parking space and enter the building to get your child. Thank you for your compliance.

Team USA Takes Silver in Beijing

Congratulations to the 2008 Women’s USA Gymnastics Team for taking the silver medal in the Beijing Olympics! Great job to Samantha and her teammates for bringing home the silver!

Circle of Stars Invitational February 20-22, 2009

CIRCLE OF STARS GYMNASTICS INVITATIONAL presented by Jarden Home Brands is a premiere three-day, amateur gymnastics competition, which ranks among the top two largest gymnastics competitions in the United States! This event is scheduled for February 20-22, 2009 at the Indiana Convention Center and will host six gyms of simultaneous competition throughout the weekend. This year over 90 collegiate coaches will be among our invitees to begin their recruiting for the 2009/10 season. The 2008 competition showcased more than 3,500 gymnasts, 112 teams from all over the country. The 2009 Circle of Stars Gymnastics Invitational presented by Jarden Home Brands will be just as exciting!

Hosted by DeVeau’s Gymnastics Booster Club, Fishers, Indiana, the Circle of Stars Gymnastics Invitational presented by Jarden Home Brands is one of a handful of large gymnastics invitationals in the United States that combines boys and girls competition. Athletes include young men and women, ages 5 through 18, pursuing excellence in gymnastics. Competition ranges from Level 3-Elite.

Samantha’s 9 + 10 Level Teammates Wish Her Luck

Teammates of Olympic gymnast Samantha Peszek gathered together and created a “good luck” banner for her at DeVeau’s School of Gymnastics.

DeVeau’s Celebrates 25 Years

Summer, 2007 - 25 years ago DeVeau’s School of Gymnastics opened it’s doors on the eastside of Indianapolis. The program started with only 150 students. Thanks to a solid structure of classes and a wonderful staff of qualified instructors, the program has grown to over 2000 students! CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF OUR COMPETITIVE TEAMS!!! DeVeau’s Boy’s & Girl’s Teams ALL brought home the 1st place team title from their respective levels at their State Championships!!! To celebrate, there was a TEAM CELEBRATION on July 22nd at Forest Park in Noblesville from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. There was a DJ and many fun and exciting games and activities are being planned.
