COS Sponsorships still being accepted!

DeVeau’s Families,

Remember that for every sponsorship you obtain for Circle of Stars, you will receive 20% of the amount of the sponsorship as quota credit.

All of the sponsorships come with an ad in the COS Program.  The deadline for ads is January 27th and the deadline for information to be printed on T-shirts is January 29th.

If you have a sponsor or potential sponsor but do not yet have their check, you may forward me their ad (electronic versions work best), even if they have not yet given you a check. For their convenience, we can go ahead and plan for the ad and get the check closer to the meet.

If the sponsoring company would like to send the check later in February, please obtain the written sponsorship agreement from them so we have some proof of their intent to sponsor.

If you have any questions, or would like me to follow up on any leads you have for sponsor, please let me know and I will do it.  The quota credit still goes to you.

Deadline for Indiana State Leo is approaching!

Don’t forget you can order a Indiana state leo, samples are at front desk.  Price as listed below.  Order date is Jan 30th or other time is Feb 27th.  If you have questions you can ask either Joan or Brenda.  This is a fundraiser for the state gymnastics assoc.

Please note for the out of town guests that Embassy Suites will serve their breakfast starting at 6AM on Sat and Sunday to accommodate the families of kids who compete at 8AM.

There is a $5 parking charge for the Fair Grounds and it allows in and out privileges within the same day.

The hotel can provide a shuttle to the meet site but the shuttle only holds 6 people.  We will need to make arrangements with them as soon as we arrive if we want this service.

The hotel does have an Enterprise rental car lot on sight if need be as well.

The Shuttle line for airport pick up from John Wayne Airport is 714-241-3334. Call when you arrive.

Spring Session begins February 9th!

Happy New Year!  We hope that every one had a good holidays and that the children are now settled back into their routines.

It is now time to sign up for the Spring 1 session by highlighting your child’s name in yellow in the attendance book.  This next session will begin on February 9th and end April 4th.  We do not close for any school system’s Spring breaks.

Three new classes are being added the the schedule.  Cheerleading (ages 5 and 6) will meet on Thursdays from 4-5pm, cheerleading (ages 7,8,9 and 10) will meet on Thursdays from 5-6pm and cheerleading (ages11,12,13 and 14) will meet on Wednesdays from 5-6pm.  These classes will focus on tumbling, stunting and jumps for cheerleading.

DeVeau’s Show Team is EXPANDING!

DeVeau’s Show Team is EXPANDING TO WEDNESDAY’S 6-8PM in addition to the Tuesday class!

Students who love gymnastics and would like the opportunity to perform their skills with a group of peers can join the SHOW TEAM during the month of January.  New members must be 7-9 years old and have the recommendation of their instructor.  Handstand rolls and cartwheels are a MUST, plus the ability to listen and work together in a large group.

New Show Team members will have a performance opportunity in May at the annual end-of-year celebration here at DeVeau’s.  Commitment to the program is through the end of May.  New commitments for 2009-2010 begin July 2009.

Show Team members must maintain their status in a DeVeau’s gymnastics or tumbling class.  Payments for Show Team are made monthly while class fees continue to be paid following the 8-week session schedule.  The group is directed by Paula Lord, Former elite rhythmic athlete and National Choreographer for USA Gymnastics.

SIGN-UP AND GET STARTED THIS WEEK!

Space is limited to the first 15 gymnasts and registration for Show Team closes at the end of January.
