Optional Girls travel to Cancun Classic

The DeVeau’s Level 9’s and 10’s traveled to Cancun 1/7 - 1/10/10 for the Cancun Classic.  We shared a group dinner at Senior Frogs, soaked up some sun, celebrated Coach Tom’s birthday and a good time was had by all.

Level 6 Girls participate in service project!

Level 6 girls, Coach Mandy, and a few parents left practice early on Sat. to help fill bags of food to feed children around the world.  The organization, Kids Against Hunger, has developed a nutritional meal that will help prevent starvation around the world.  The girls took time to fill small bags with soy, powdered vitamins, dried vegetable/seasoning, and rice.  This one small bag was enough to feed 6 people for one day.  The girls helped in filling bags to feed over 9,000 children on Sat.  The bags are sealed and distributed globally.

Level 4 Girls spread holiday cheer to the Troops in Iraq!

This holiday season, the Girls Level 4 Team is sending holiday spirit with handmade cards and letters to the Troops in Iraq. 

Four DeVeau’s Seniors Sign to Compete gymnastics in college!!!

On Tuesday, November 17th, friends, family, coaches and other DeVeau’s gymnasts gathered to congratulate four of DeVeau’s senior gymnasts on their signing to compete gymnastics in college.

Lauren Caldemeyer - Stanford University - Full Athletic scholarship

Elizabeth McNabb - University of Illinois - Full Athletic scholarship

Emily Petersen - University of Alaska - Full Athletic scholarship

Karissa Carpenter - University of Kentucky - Academic scholarship

We are very proud of all of them!!!!

Five Boy’s from DeVeau’s qualify for Future Stars!!!

They are all headed to the Olympic Training Center for the National Championships in November!!

Jeff Green joins DeVeau’s Men’s Coaching Staff

DeVeau’s School of Gymnastics would like to welcome Jeff Green as the newest member of the men’s coaching staff!  Jeff has an extensive background in coaching gymnastics and will be a huge asset to our team of coaches.  Welcome, Jeff.

DeVeau’s Level 3’s Participate in State Meet!

Congratulations to our Girls Level 3 team that participated in the State Meet on March 15, 2009
in New Castle, Indiana.

Level 9’s capture title at Midwest Open!

The girl’s Level 9 team brought home the money this weekend by taking 1st place at the Midwest Open in Cicero, Illinois.  Their winning score was 110.2.

DeVeau’s Level 8 Team competes at IGI

DeVeau’s Level 8 Team members competed at IGI in Chicago on February 7th!  A good time was had by all!

Level 9’s & 10’s Attend Brestyan’s Invitational in Boston!

The Level 9’s and 10’s at Quincy Market in Boston.  They attended the Brestyan’s Invitational, a good time was had by all, dispite the cold weather!!  The trip home was not so easy for some of us!!!
