Owner/Coach Joan DeVeau

Owner/Coach/Teacher - Joan Darcy-DeVeau Lods heads our staff and is the mother to daughter Taryn, who used to be a competitive team member at DeVeau’s and is now a cheerleader at Kentucky. Joan has been teaching gymnastics since 1977. She attributes much of her success to the wonderful team of professional teachers she has worked with over the years. All staff members are carefully chosen on their ability to teach children in a safe, structured and fun atmosphere. Joan was born in Philadelphia, PA, and earned her B.S. degree in physical education/health in 1977. She is USAG Safety Certified; KAT (Kinder Accreditation for Teachers) certified; an IHSAA judge; Vice President of Coaches Association for Indiana Gymnastics; Member of United States Elite Coaches Association; 1989 Indiana Women’s Coach of the Year; Coach of USAIGC National Team Member; Coach of Indiana’s first elite gymnast; Coach of numerous National, Regional, and State qualifiers and champions; and, Coach of numerous State Champion teams at all levels.
