More than just Somersaults and Cartwheels
The Preschool Development Program at DeVeau’s School of Gymnastics teaches more than just gymnastics. Students will learn forward rolls, backward rolls, headstands, handstands and cartwheels on floor. They will learn to hold themselves in a front support on the bars, to run and jump off a springboard, to walk on a balance beam, to climb the rope, and to safely bounce on a trampoline. Along with all of these physical, gymnastics skills, students in the preschool program will also benefit in the following areas:

Ages: 2 1/2 to 5 years
The Preschool ages program is divided by age to ensure age appropriate learning. While classes focus on the basics and fundamentals of gymnastics, the presentation of the material varies according to the age of the students. Students will receive instruction on all of the gymnastics apparatus: floor, bars, balance beam, vault, and trampoline. Flexibility, agility, coordination and motor skill exercises are integrated into the class curriculum providing students with strong development base for any sport they may choose to pursue. Placement is determined by the student’s age at the beginning of the session. In cases of accelerated or delayed development, the coaching staff will determine appropriate placement.
Class Length: 2 1/2 year olds - 45 minutes Student/Teacher ratio: 6:1
3 year olds - 60 minutes Student/Teacher ratio: 6:1
4/5 year olds - 60 minutes Student/Teacher ratio: 8:1
Fall Session 2 runs October 7th - December 1st
Winter Session runs December 2nd - February 7th
There will be no classes Thanksgiving Day, November 27th
