I started coaching in August of 2014 and started at Deveaus in July of 2019.
Gymnastics Experience
I was a gymnast for 9 years and a cheerleader for 3 years.
I started gymnastics competitively in 2003, and I started varsity competition cheerleading in 2010. I competed in both sports for a year before competing for cheerleading only in 2011.
I was a varsity competition cheerleader in high school and competed with a torn ligament in my ankle for five months. We ended up making it all the way to the State Finals and ended up taking sixth place out of 72 3A high schools. After that, I had reconstructive surgery and went into competitive Allstars cheerleading and fell in love with it.
Education
I’m currently working on my degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Needs.
My dream is to work with special needs children and adults and their families to teach them about their unique abilities and how to use those abilities.
Family Information
I got married on September 1, 2019 to an amazing man. We have 2 cats and a dog.
Fun Facts
I love to have fun myself, but even more, I love seeing the kids in my class having fun and loving the sport they are doing! I love seeing their excitement for each class they are in and their excitement for learning new skills. My proudest moments as a coach are seeing the progression of the kids in my class and watching them relentlessly pursue learning new skills.
