WHY FAMILIES CHOOSE DEVEAU’S
"We have been going to DeVeau’s for over a year now and we absolutely love it. The coach does such a good job with the little ones balancing fun and preparing them for future skill development. The rest of the team and staff have done an incredible job prioritizing the kids/family safety over the last year and they live the family culture that we had heard so many good things about prior to joining."
— Ben R.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I know if my child is ready for preschool gymnastics?
Preschool gymnastics is a great next step when your child is ready to participate in a structured class without a parent directly beside them. They do not need to be perfectly independent or follow every direction right away. Coaches help children learn how to listen, take turns, stay with the group, and grow more comfortable each week.
What if my child is nervous or has never taken a class before?
That’s completely normal. For many children, preschool gymnastics is one of their first experiences in a group class. Our coaches focus on helping kids feel safe, encouraged, and excited to participate. The goal is to build trust first, then confidence, movement skills, and independence over time.
What will my child learn in preschool gymnastics?
Preschoolers work on age-appropriate movement skills like balancing, jumping, rolling, climbing, swinging, stretching, and basic gymnastics shapes. Just as importantly, they practice listening, following directions, waiting their turn, trying new things, and celebrating progress.
Is preschool gymnastics more about fun or skill-building?
It’s both. Classes are designed to feel playful and exciting for young children, but every activity has a purpose. Kids are building coordination, strength, body awareness, balance, confidence, and social skills through movement-based learning.
What if my child doesn’t participate the whole class?
That can happen, especially at the preschool age. Some children need time to warm up, observe, or adjust to a new environment. Coaches are used to helping young children rejoin the group in a positive way, and progress often looks different for every child.
How is preschool gymnastics different from Parent & Me?
Parent & Me is designed for younger children who participate with a parent or caregiver. Preschool gymnastics gives children more independence by helping them participate with their coach and classmates. It’s a great bridge between toddler movement classes and school-age gymnastics.
