Our director helps create a preschool environment where children feel supported, encouraged, and excited to learn each day.
"Children learn so much through play! It teaches cognitive skills, enhances physical abilities, creates new vocabulary, social skills and literacy skills. Through play these become engrained in their everyday lives making them see every opportunity as a learning or teaching one. Play is healthy not just for the physical aspect but for the social and emotional as well. It reinforces their learning in multiple areas during play. It gives them a place and a time for learning that cannot be achieved through completing a worksheet.”

What age is Active Academy for?
Active Academy is designed for children ages 3 through Pre-K. Our classes are tailored to each stage of early childhood development, helping children build confidence, independence, social skills, and kindergarten readiness through hands-on learning and active play in a fun, nurturing environment.
What schedule options are available?
We offer flexible scheduling to fit your family's needs! Choose from 3, 4, or 5 days per week, with our school day running from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Whether you're looking for a part-time or full-week preschool experience, we have an option that's right for your child.
Is this a play-based preschool?
Yes! Active Academy uses a play-based approach to learning because we believe children learn best through hands-on experiences, exploration, and meaningful play. Our curriculum blends structured learning with creative activities that encourage curiosity, problem-solving, social development, and kindergarten readiness—all in a fun, engaging environment.

What does arrival look like each morning?
We believe a great day starts with a great arrival. Instead of beginning with desk work, children ease into the day by choosing from engaging learning stations like literacy, math, STEM, sensory play, art, and dramatic play. This gives students the opportunity to make choices, build independence, and transition comfortably into the school day.
Just as importantly, arrival gives our teachers time to connect individually with each child—listening to stories, answering questions, and celebrating exciting moments. These personal interactions help every child feel welcomed, valued, and ready to learn.
How does dismissal work?
Our preschool day ends at 1:30 p.m. with a calm, organized dismissal process designed to ensure every child is safely reunited with their family. Before heading home, teachers review the day's learning, celebrate accomplishments, and help students gather their belongings, encouraging responsibility and independence.
We believe ending the day on a positive note is just as important as beginning it well, so children leave feeling confident, proud of what they've learned, and excited to come back the next day.
